In honor of November being, Hospice Awareness Month, MedCentral Hospice remembered patients who have died over the past year during its annual memorial service.

Patients, friends and family participated in "The Journey Home" program.

"The service itself this year is a little bit different," Chaplain Chris Mason said. "The theme 'The Journey Home' has to do with that each relationship, each life, touches each others lives."

"So, it's focusing on the relationships that we have as we're traveling through life, and how these carry on even though death occurs," said Mason.

More than 100 people attended the event, which was held at First Assembly of God in Mansfield.
