The Mansfield-Richland County Public Library is offering a new service called Freading to patrons. The library board of trustees talked about the new service at their regular meeting Tuesday afternoon. Freading is an eBook program featured on the library's website. Library director Joe Palmer said through the program the library is able to access more than 40,000 books for patrons to download. Freading is compatible for direct download to the iPhone, iPad, Android phones and tablets, P-C/Mac computers and Kindle Fire. Palmer said the library is not spending any additional dollars for the program. He said cuts were made in the library's material budget for Freading. You can connect to Freading on the library's website at www.mrcpl.org. |
