The five agencies who will share space with the District Five Area Agency on Aging in its new building in Ontario were announced today to local officials. Agency on Aging C.E.O. Duana Patton says the Alzheimer's Association, Third Street Family Health Services, Habitat for Humanity, Visiting Nurse Association, and Experience Works will join the Agency on Aging in Hawkins Corner, the former Hawkins Market, at Park Avenue West and Lexington-Springmill Road. She says This will allow the agencies to work better together to serve their clients. The building was donated a year ago by the grocery store's founder, Earl Hawkins, and has been undergoing extensive renovations. Agency on Aging Board President Kathy Daniels says lease payments will cover the $3.5-million loan from Mechanic's Bank for the renovations. The six agencies expect to move into Hawkins Corner by the end of April. |
