Last season the Lexington wrestling team finished as state runner-up in Division II, second only to St.Paris Graham at the state finals in Columbus.  As the team prepares for 2012-'13, they have a returning state champion in Josh Lehner and 4th place finisher Jacob Kasper, both seniors, to lead the team.

Coach Brent Rastetter (129-15) returns for his ninth season as head coach of the Minutemen.  Rastetter comments this will be one of his youngest teams ever, but at the same time it could be one of his very best overall.  Lex could have as many ten sophomores in the varsity line-up.  In addition to Lehner and Kasper, Rastetter will look to Brandon Leynaud a returning OCC champion (34-13), Bailey Faust another returning OCC champion (35-9) and Xavier White who was 4th a sectionals and a district qualifier (17-9).

Overall last season the team finished at 17-2, claiming the OCC and sectional team championships and finished as D-II state runner-up.
