Ontario City Council approved legislation Thursday night for the new Spitzer Motors Dealership to build a new facility at the site of the former Artesian site on West Fourth Street.

Mayor Larry Collins said four pieces of legislation regarding a TIF, were approved including an ordinance authorizing a development agreement with Spitzer A-Team L.P.

Work is currently underway at the West Fourth Street location. Construction on the new buildings is scheduled to begin next year.

The project is expected to be completed by June 2013.

Spitzer Dodge has been in business since 1904. In 1955 the local dealership opened its doors at 744 Park Ave. West.
