With the football season ending locally in Mansfield, both the Tygers and Rams placed four players on the All-Northwest District football team.  Two individuals were singled out as coach and player of the year.

Northwest District Coach of the Year honors went to Madison's Sean Conway for coaching the Rams to a share of the OCC football championship with Senior High and West Holmes.  Earning the schools first playoff bid in seven years and helping to get the team to their first ten win season (10-2), since 1992.

Madison running back Kale Huss was named Offensive Player of the Year rushing for 1,969 yards in 12 games scoring 25 touchdowns.  Three other teammates joined him on the first team center Nate Boggs, linebacker Seth Gowitzka and safety Dalton Fix.

Mansfield Senior also placed four players on first team All-Northwest district.  Offensive lineman Leon Robinson, Corner Matt Robinson, linebacker Jaleel Taylor and defensive end Antonio Sanderfer.  Those four players helped to get the Tygers a share of the OCC title and earn the team their first playoff bid since 2002 and the teams 8-3 finish was the best since 2001.
