The sixth annual Operation Christmas for the Troops was completed Friday in Ashland.

The Ashland Military Support Group spent several hours at Lippert Enterprises on Jacobson Avenue, filling boxes with donated food and personal hygiene items to send to American soldiers stationed in several countries.

The Ashland Elks Lodge contributed $3000 to help pay for the postage.

The Ashland Military Support Group collects food and personal hygiene items to send to overseas troops year-around, with the other major shipment each May.
