Churches Gather For Special Eastside Thanksgiving Service

Madison Township's annual Thanksgiving service, the Eastside Community Thanksgiving Service was held Sunday at Trinity United Methodist Church at 1592 Grace St. in Mansfield. Trinity United Methodist Church pastor Bob Stull said eight denominations from the eastside gathered for the special service. The churches participating in the service were Diamond Hills Baptit Church, First Church of the Brethren, Eastside Hill Presbyterian Church, Mayflower Congregational Church, Ridgeway First Church of God, St. Mary of the Snows Catholic Church, and St. Timothy Evangelical Lutheran Church. "The purpose of the service in part is to under score that our committment to Christ is broader thn anyone of our denominations so we come together to worship," Stull said. Pastor Stull said the offering collected will be given to Catholic Charities and Love Inc. ministries in Mansfield. |
