Black Friday bargain-hunters are already camped-out at the electronics and appliance store, Best Buy in Ontario. Police Chief Rod Smith says the store manager contacted his department to say this long-standing practice needs to end. He says the manager told him the camping would be limited, with tents and camping trailers not permitted on the front sidewalk, and those who set up tents would be told to leave. But David Lykins of Shelby set-up his tent next to two others Tuesday morning, and says he isn't bothered by the possibility of being told to leave. A Best Buy employee arriving for work told WMFD small tents will be allowed on the sidewalk in front of the store, provided no one causes any trouble. Camping trailers must stay in the parking lot. Best Buy is closed Thanksgiving day, and opens at midnight for Black Friday. |
