Mansfield police at this hour are searching for the person who robbed a downtown bank.
 

It happened at the main office of Mechanics Bank, at Park Ave. and S. Main St. at 10:30 a.m. Friday morning.
  

Police say the man entered the bank and handed a teller a note demanding money. She handed over the cash and he took off.

It's still unclear if the man showed a weapon. He fled on foot.

 The suspect, described as a white male with a beard and moustache, wearing a black hoodie.
