The Mansfield-Richland County Public Library's music series continued Sunday at the main library with the sounds of the sister duo Lisa and Heather Malyuk. Lisa plays the hammered dulcimer and banjo. Heather plays guitar, fiddle and sings new interpretations of old-time, Celtic and world folk music. "We've been playing this style of music for about eight years now. We're both classically trained and in our teens we picked up these folk instruments and started to perform. We've performed everywhere from Walt Disney World to Ireland. We really enjoy carrying on this tradition," Lisa Malyuk said. All music programs at the library are generously supported by the Friends of the Library. |
