The Internal Revenue Service’s Taxpayer Assistance Center at 180 N. Diamond St., Mansfield, will have slightly reduced hours on Nov. 27 and Nov. 29.

Hours of operation on Nov. 27 will be 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  Hours of operation on Nov. 29 will be 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  On both days, the office will be closed for lunch from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.

Normal hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (closed for lunch between 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.). The office is closed on weekends and on federal holidays.

The change in operating hours is temporary and applies only to the dates noted.

IRS Taxpayer Assistance Centers provide face-to-face assistance to taxpayers whose tax issues cannot be handled online or by phone.  Most tax matters are handled on a walk-in basis.  Those with disabilities or ongoing, complex tax account problems may request an appointment by calling (419) 522-9204.
The IRS website, www.IRS.gov, offers an Interactive Tax Assistant tool and a Tax Trails application, both of which provide answers to federal tax law questions.  The IRS information hotline, 800-TAX-1040 (800-829-1040), provides live assistance to callers Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. (local time).
Respectfully submitted,
