A new and unique business opened Monday in downtown Ashland.

The ribbon was cut for Gallery 250 at 30 West Main Street, by owners David and Bernice Taylor.

Well-wishers and customers went inside for cake, cookies, punch, and browsing.

The store features a wide array of new and gently used items including clothing, furniture, small appliances and electronics, jewelry, nic-nacs, and Elvis Presley memorabilia for those of you who share Bernice Taylor's fanhood for the King of Rock-n-Roll.

Gallery 250 is the latest of several new stores in downtown Ashland, and Ashland Main Street Director Sandra Tunnell says is a sign the center of town is rejuvenating.

Tunnell says the best shopping is found downtown, with your friends and neighbors as the merchants, and the most unique merchandise.
