A fixture in the Richland County law enforcment community for the last seven years is moving on. Lt. Michael Vinson, commander of the Mansfield post of the Ohio Highway Patrol, is being transferred to the same position at the Bucyrus post, starting Monday. He says he'll miss his staff of troopers and dispatchers, and the Richland County law enforcement community, with whom he has developed a great working relationship. Vinson says Richland County is one of the busiest for crashes and calls for service. He expects a different atmosphere at the Bucyrus post, which has far fewer calls for service but covers Crawford and Wyandot Counties. Vinson will be replaced as Mansfield post commander by Lieutenant Chad Enderby, who heads the Wooster post. Enderby worked as a trooper in Mansfield early in his career. |
