Malabar Farm State Park now has a new manager.

Ohio Department of Natural Resources Director James Zehringer was on hand to introduce the new manager, Korre Boyer who begins his new position Monday.

Zehringer also unveiled a plan for improvements to help revitalize the state park, committing capital funds up to a $500,000 on restoration of the exterior of the Big House.

Zehringer says ODNR also is committed to revitalizing the spirit of Louis Bromfield, the Mansfield native of Pulitzer Prize-winning author who established Malabar Farm in 1939.
