The results of a survey of residents in District 3 of the Ohio Department of Transportation were presented Tuesday to the Richland County Commissioners. District Deputy Director Allen Biehl and Planning and Engineering Administrator Kathy Sarli say a quality transportation system is important to people. The survey finds residents want the existing roads and bridges well maintained, and for ODOT to address areas of with traffic congestion and high crash rates. Biehl says the findings will be used in the development of a Long Range Transportation Plan, which will identify specific projects. The survey also found 62% believe transportation funding should be increased, while only 18% know how O-DOT is funded. |
