The Ashland University women's basketball team won their 34th consecutive regular season game downing Wayne State University 77-58, Wednesday evening.  The AU ladies were led by Kari Daugherty, who extended her own Division II national record by recording her 26th consecutive double-double with 29 points and 18 rebounds.  Teammate Daiva Gerbec was next with 11 points and seven boards.  AU's defense collected 17 points off the Warrior's 11 turnovers.

The win improved the #1 ranked Eagles overall record to 9-0, 3-0 in GLIAC competition, while Wayne State fell to 2-3, 2-1 in conference.  Ashland University next travels to Saginaw Valley State Saturday for a 3pm tip.
