Ontario City Council approved legislation Thursday night for Spitzer Chrysler Dodge Dealership which is currently building a new facility on West Fourth Street.

 Mayor Larry Collins said the TIF that was approved allows Spitzer A-Team L.P., to make improvements to the property exempting those improvements from real property taxes, requiring the owners of the property to make service payments in lieu of taxes.

The project is expected to be completed by June 2013.

In other business, council approved an ordinance authorizing the service-safety director to advertise for bids and award a contract for the 2013 city paving program.
