The Ohio Bird Sanctuary on Orewiler Road in Mansfield held its annual Christmas for the Birds event this past weekend. Ohio Bird Sanctuary Executive Director Gail Laux says those who stopped by made Christmas ornaments, enjoyed refreshments and took pictures with Santa Claus. Admission to the event is by bringing something for the birds like birdseed and children get to create something for Chirstmas. Laux says typically, about 50 people show up for the event but with this weekend's mild weather, she believes they'll easily exceed that number. |
