The Clear Fork Valley Local Schools shared services arrangement with Lucas Local Schools was the topic of discussion at the Clear Fork School Board meeting Thursday night. Clear Fork's treasurer Larry Lifer and payroll department has been providing payroll services to Lucas Local Schools due to the retirement of the district's payroll person for the last seven months. Clear Fork Supt. Dr. Matthew Dill said the arrangement has been a cost savings measure for both districts. "There has been a big push from state government to share services among different government bodies. The shared agreement has been going well and taxpayers will see a savings of about $35,000 with this agreement," Dr. Dill said. In other business, the board discussed installing a camera system in the high school and middle school complex and setting aside funds annually for the repair and replacement of equipment in the weight room. The board also recognized Linda Schaub on her retirement from the district and the girls varsity soccer team for their winning season. |
