A Mansfield man has been convicted of murder in a stabbing death. 42-year-old Delbert Williams was found guilty of that charge, along with tampering with evidence and possession of criminal tools in the May sixth stabbing death of Joshua Merritt, during a fight outside of then Cyclone Bar on Laver Road. A six-man six-woman jury in Richland County Common Pleas Court deliberated for eight hours over two days before returning the verdict. Williams faces a mandatory 15-year to life sentence, plus another four years for the other two charges. |
