The Warriors picked up their fifth win of the season with a tough 61-59 win over Shelby at Joe Yohn Gymnasium.

The Whippets came out of the gates hot, opening up a double-digit lead in the first several minutes of the contest, but the Warriors would come storming back. Ontario scored an amazing two points per posession in the second quarter behind 8 points from Blake Balogh to take a 37-34 half time lead.

The Warriors would outscore Shelby 11-10 in the third to extend their advantage out to four, leading 48-44 as the game headed into the final eight minutes of play. The teams would trade the lead back and fourth in the final quarter with Ontario holding a two point lead with under five seconds to play but the Whippets could not hit a game winning three pointer, giving Ontario their second win in as many days.

Grant Fenner had a monster night in a losing cause, scoring a game-high 21 points. Andrew Baird added 11 points and Tristan Kehres 12.

Blake Balogh led Ontario with 15 points, Cam Mack returned after missing Friday nights game with a thumb injury to score 12 points, while Lenell Shelby chipped in with 9 off the bench.

The Warriors improve to 5-1 and will next be in action Friday at the Ontario Holiday Tournament against Hillsdale. Shelby falls to 4-2 and will next travel to Sandusky.
