Students interested in pursuing college degrees in the restaurant and hospitality industries could receive some financial help.
A check for $34,735 was presented Monday by the Association of North Central Ohio Restaurants to the Richland County Foundation, to create the Banks-Willeke-Bunfill Scholarship Fund.
The scholarship fund is named after Eugene and Dorothy Banks, who owned the San-Dar Smorgasbord in Bellville from 1948 until it closed in the 1990's; Stan Willeke who opened Stan's Restaurant in Mansfield in the 1950's, and Tom Bunfill who took over management of Mister Tee's in the mid-1970's. |
