Patients in the Intensive Care Units at Bucyrus and Galion Community Hospitals will receive even better and safer care now, thanks to new state-of-the-art monitors. Aimee Delong, Director of Nursing for Med Surgeon ICU, in Galion says with these monitors they will continue to grow with technology. "It actually has built-in safety features," Delong said. "It has a lot of features we didn't have previously." There are six monitors in both Bucyrus and Galion Community Hospital ICU's, making them two of the only facilities in Ohio to have the new-state-of-the-art system. "The physicians can actually dial in from home and look at the patients rhythms," Delong said. "The nurses can stay in the rooms and actually see alarms from other patient rooms." "It gives us more time with our patients and their families," Delong said. |
