Richland County Recorder Sarah Davis retired effective December 31st. But she's staying on the job. Davis was re-elected to her fifth term in November, then learned she would lose a 3% cost of living benefit from the Ohio Public Employee Retirement System benefits if she did not retire by the end of the year. Since Davis' new term does not begin until Monday, the commissioners had to appoint an interim recorder for this week, and Thursday they appointed Davis. |
