The Mansfield City Schools Board of Education held their organizational meeting Thursday night at the Raemelton Administration Building.

Supt. Dan Freund said the board is preparing for a busy 2013.

"We have a levy coming up in May that we'll be working hard on. Also we'll be focusing on the changes occurring in education such as the uncertainty of the budget and teacher evaluation changes. We're ready for a busy 2013," Freund said.

In other business, the school board elected Chris Elswick as school board president and Cliff Crose as vice president.

The board's next meeting will be Jan. 15 at 7 p.m. at the Raemelton Administration Building, 856 W. Cook Rd.
