Two people were hurt in a rear-end collision Sunday night on U-S 30 near Biddle Road in Crawford County.

The sheriff's office says 23-year-old Cherokee Smith of Mansfield was driving eastbound, when his car struck the rear of the minivan driven by 56-year-old Debra Nikolaus of Mansfield.

Smith was taken to Bucyrus Community Hospital with minor injuries, while Nikolaus was taken to Galion Community Hospital.

Both were treated and released.

Smith was ticketed for failing to maintain an assured clear distance from the vehicle ahead.
