A car hit a 17-year-old girl at seven o'clock this morning as she was walking to Mansfield Senior High School.

Police say the traffic light was flashing, and the male driver stopped.

He did not see the girl enter the crosswalk on West Park Boulevard, and tried to turn right onto of West Fourth Street.

Police say the teen suffered a couple of scrapes, but apparently no broken bones.

She was taken to Med-Central Mansfield Hospital for X-rays.

The driver was ticketed for failing to yield.
