A leading Mansfield area businessman was the guest speaker Monday at the Richland County Republican Party's luncheon.

Grant Milliron calls the lengthy effort to reach an agreement to avoid the so-called fiscal cliff a debacle, and says we still don't know what impact Obamacare will have on businesses.

Because he owns three separate businesses, each with fewer than fifty employees, he's under the impression each would be exempt from the requirements of Obamacare.  But he's also been told the three businesses would be considered one, so he's waiting to see what he'll be required to do about employee health insurance.

Milliron says he's "cautiously optimistic" about the future of his large business, because it produces steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and copper which are used in the automotive and housing markets.

Milliron says the federal government has done nothing to reduce its debt, which he considers a momumental problem for the country's businesses and families.
