Richland County Transit says its Saturday service in December was a big success. RCT busses provided more than three thousand trips during that time. That's three times the ridership for a similar service in 2011. But it's not an apples to apples comparison. There was one additional day of service in 2012, and for the first time ever, the rides were free. RCTwas trying to encourage people that may have never used the service to give it a try. Regular Saturday bus service was discontinued in 2003 due to lack of money. |
