Crawford County Department of Job and Family Services, Department of Family and Children Services says it was a record year for local residents who participated in their Adopt-A-Child for Christmas and holiday party. A total of 200 Crawford County children woke up Christmas morning with presents under the tree. Christmas is not the only time donations are accepted. If any organization would like to help, contact Kathy Zaika at 419-563-1570, extension 230. The agency says most of the children that come to them have nothing and every little bit helps. Nelsen Mandela said, "There can be no keener revelation of a society's soul than the way in which it treats its children." The agency says here is the proof Crawford County's soul is very giving and wish everyone a very Happy New Year.
