The Mansfield Christian Flames boys basketball team will go sfter their fourth straight and tenth win of the season when they play host to 4-5 Mohawk on Saturday night.  The Flames have won nine of their first 11 games and have already won more games at this point in the year than what they did all of last season when they finished at 8-12.   As with many coaches John Kurtz thought his team would have a good year based on the presason they had leading up to the start of the season.

The Flames have played well on defense allowing 50 points or less in ten of their 11 games.  The only game where they allowed more was 63 to Col.Crawford in week two, a 63-41 loss to the Eagles.  Kurtz feels his team has the potential to win a sectional and district championship, but he knows it won't be easy Col.Crawford, Buckeye Central and St.Peter's are all in the same sectional and district as the Flames.
