Poor shooting and a big performance by Ridge Winand upend Ontario at the Corral, as the Colts continue their hot streak with a 59-44 win over the Warriors.

The Colts ran out to an early 12-9 lead after the first quarter behind 9 points from Winand, but the Warriors would control the second quarter to take a 26-22 advantage into the break. The Warriors would go ice cold in the third quarter however, scoring just 6 points in the frame and Winand stayed hot allowing Clear Fork to build a 39-32 lead heading into the final quarter. Ontario would stay frigid from the field in the fourth, as Winand the Colts built up an insurmountable 18 point cushion and would hold off a late Warriors charge for a 15 point victory.

The Warriors failed to make a single 3-point field goal the entire night, going 0-17 from beyond the arc. Ontario didn't fair much better from the rest of the field, shooting an abysmal 15-50 (30%) while also getting outrebounded by the Colts 31-28.

Clear Fork shot 20-48 (42%) for the game and connected on 17-23 (74%) free throws, many down the stretch to close out the game.

Winand finished with a game-high 31 points, the most yielded by the Warriors to any player all season. Kadin Chrastina netted 8 points for Clear Fork, Keith Corbin 7.

Ontario got another big game from Cameron Mack who had a team-high 16 points, while Brandon Wagner added 7 and Tyler Boatwright chipped in with 6.

The Colts have now won 5 of 6 to run up a 7-5 record after beginning the season 2-4. They'll have a tough double weekend in the OCC coming up with a games at West Holmes (9-3) Friday and home vs Lexington (8-5) on Saturday. Ontario will return home Friday for a conference showdown with red hot Upper Sandusky (7-4) then travel to Bucyrus (2-10) Saturday.

Both Warriors games can be listened to live on WMFD.com or seen on replay on WOHZ TV.
