Upper Sandusky had their 6-game winning streak snapped at the O-Rena Friday night as the Warriors took control of the NCC with a 51-40 victory.

Both teams struggled to score in the first half, with Ontario leading 11-7 after the first quarter then 21-17 at the break. The Warriors shot just 37% from the field in the opening two quarters, but were able to hold the Rams to 22% shooting to take a 4-point halftime lead.

The scoring picked up in the third quarter with each squad netting 16 points in the frame, but Ontario would take control of the game in the fourth. After Upper Sandusky tied the game half way through the final stanza, the Warriors shut them down for the remainder of the game and went on a scoring surge to put the score out of reach.

The Warriors shot 62% from the floor in the second half to finish 20-40 (50%) for the game, while Upper Sandusky finished just 11-36 (31%). Ontario also outrebounded the Rams by a more than 2-1 margin, 33-16.

Joe Reile led all scorers with 12 points for Upper Sandusky, while teammates Cody Collins contributed with 9, Stuart Young 8 and Trent Howard 7.

The Warriors put just one player in double-digit scoring with Wyatt Clemens netting 11, while Cameron Mack had 9 pts and 7 rb's and Mitchell Phelps, Blake Balogh and Brandon Wagner all added 6.

Ontario stays unbeaten in the NCC with the win (6-0) and improves to 10-4 overall. Upper Sandusky falls to 7-5 (5-2) and will play at Marion Harding Saturday, while the Warriors will finish up their three-game week Saturday at Bucyrus.
