Providence Baptist Church at 112 W.  Sixth St. in Mansfield hosted the 19th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Breakfast over the weekend.

Over 100 people including local dignitaries came out to celebrate the legacy of Dr. King.

The featured speaker for this year's celebration was Rev. James Cosby, founder and director of the Cosby Heritage Center.

Providence Baptist Church pastor Thomas Hunt said the celebration is for the entire community.

"We want the community to know that Dr. King's dream still exists and we're moving forward," Hunt said.

The celebration concluded with the audience singing the African-American National Anthem "Lift Every Voice."
