Area high schools are preparing for the upcoming sectional meet on February 9th. Ontario was coming off an outstanding effort in last weekend's NCC meet where the boys team was narrowly out touched by 10 time defending champion, Colonel Crawford. Rather than being dejected, Ontario Coach Deb Henry, said her team was buoyed by the number of personal and meet records that were set. Last night the Warriors continued their winning ways, downing the Tygers 123 to 55. Sophomore, Chad Wright, captured two events. He won the 500 yard freestyle and 200 yard individual medley. Tyler Watson also grabbed two races, the 100 backstroke and 200 free.

On the distaff side, the Lady Tygers came away victorious, 110 to 71 points. Double individual winners included Grace Haring in the 100 free and 100 backstroke. Lauren Schutjer turned the unusual feat of winning a sprint and a distance event, the 500 freestyle and 50 yard free. Hutch Blackstone of Mansfield Senior added to his impressive season by also being a dual winner in his specialties, the 50 free and 100 yard brestroke.
