After two losses last weekend, the Shelby boy's basketball team slipped to 8-5 overall and 4-2 in the Northern Ohio League.  Friday the Whippets lost to undefeated and state ranked Norwalk 54-31.  Saturday, the team fell at St.Peter's 57-51.  Shelby coach Troy Schwemley says flat out that the Spartans outplayed his team.

As the Whippets get ready for Tiffin Columbian (5-8, 1-4), a team Shelby beat back in December 56-43, Schwemley commented that his team just can't show up at a game and expect to win, they have to put forth the effort like playing hard all game long.  He adds that Tiffin Columbian does pretty much the same things they did the first time the two teams met, what it will come down to is who wants to win more.
