Speaker of the Ohio House William G. Batchelder (R-Medina) has appointed State Representative Mark Romanchuk (R-Ontario) to serve as the vice chair of the House Manufacturing and Workforce Development Committee.

Rep. Romanchuk will also serve as a member of the Insurance Committee and Public Utilities Committee.

“My background as a small business owner will provide a valuable perspective in my role as vice chair of the newly created House Manufacturing and Workforce Development Committee. It is a privilege to have been selected for this position,” said Rep. Romanchuk. “I especially look forward to working on legislation that will improve the competiveness of Richland County and create more job opportunities for our citizens.”

Rep. Romanchuk is serving his first term in the Ohio House of Representatives. He represents the 2nd Ohio House District, which comprises all of Richland County.
