At 11-5 and 6-3 in the Ohio Cardinal Conference, the Lexington boy's basketball team is prepping for a tough double weekend coming up against the top two teams in the OCC.  On Friday, Lex will host West Holmes who stands at 8-2 in conference play and beat the Minutemen in their previous meeting 62-52.  Lex basketball coach Scott Hamilton says his team can not afford to get down early as happened the first time when the Minutemen trailed 19-5 in the first quarter.

On Saturday, Lex will travel to Pete Henry Gym to face OCC leader Mansfield Senior who stands at 9-0 in conference.  The Tygers won the first time at Lex 53-41, without 1,000 point scorer Keon Johnson.  Hamilton says the last time the two met, Senior High's quickness gave his team real problems.  He says at full strength, the Tygers will be even more of a chore.

The next four games could go a long way as to how Lex makes out at the Division II tournament draw next Sunday at Bucyrus at 2pm.
