This past Wednesday the Lexington wrestling team advanced to the regional finals of the first ever OHSAA team state wrestling tournament as the Minutemen out wrestled both Buckeye Valley 63-10 and River Valley 64-8.  Now it's off to the Columbus area to take on Whitehall-Yearling in the regional final on Wedneday at 7pm, for the right to move on to the team state finals at St.John Arena next weekend.

Coach Brent Rastetter says this is different than the state wrestling finals the first weekend in March in that the entire team has a chance to contribute to a team state title.  Lex is also prepping for the Ohio Cardinal Conference wrestling championships being held this Saturday at Clear Fork High School starting at 10am.  The Minutemen are a strong favorite going after their sixth consecutive OCC team title.
