Heart To Heart Gala Celebrates MedCentral Health System

MedCentral Health System's Third Annual Heart to Heart Gala held this past weekend at the Kehoe Center in Shelby celebrated MedCentral's excellence in heart care.

MedCentral Director of Cardiovascular Medicine, Dr. Greg Eaton. says MedCentral was ranked No. 1 in Ohio in cardiac surgery by Healthgrades.

MecdCentral Vice President, Brad Peffley, says the gala honorees are husband-wife cardiologists, Dr. Eaton and Dr. Mary Alton, and Dr. Steve Nelson. They were honored at the gala for being named to the Best Doctors in America list, an honor voted on by their peers in the medical profession across the country.

 

Dr. Eaton is medical director of MedCentral's Cardiac Medicine Program. He also directs cardiovascular clinical research in his medical practice and at MedCentral. He is board certified in cardiovascular diseases and interventional cardiology.

Dr, Alton's specialty is cardiology and she is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Cardiovascular Disease.

Dr. Nelson is the lead physician in MedCentral's electophysiology laboratory where treatment may include a pacemaker or implantable defibrilltor. He is board certified in cardiology and clinical cardiac electrophysiology.

The gala also serves as a fundraiser in support of programs for heart disease prevention.
