Governor Kasich To Discuss Medicaid Expansion In Ashland

  Governor John Kasich will be in Ashland Friday to discuss the expansion of Medicaid, including benefits for individuals with mental illness and addiction disorders.

  "He will be here at 11 a.m. in our courthouse, in our main courtroom," Ashland County Commissioner Kim Edwards said."

  The governor will hold a press conference to discuss "the expansion on Medicaid and how it will work with not only our criminal justice system but with mental health and how that impacts the local communities," Edwards said.

  Governor Kasich will speak along with many others, including Ashland County Sheriff Wayne Risner and Commissioner Kim Edwards.

  The Ashland County Courthouse is located at 142 West Second Street in Ashland.
