Tournament Draws Held Sunday

The boy's basketball tournament draw was held on Sunday in preparation for the upcoming tournament which begins two weeks from Tuesday.  In Division I, at Galion, Norwalk (19-0) earned the top seed and will play Sandusky on Tuesday, February 26th.    Mansfield Senior (16-3) picked up the second seed, took the bye to the final and will play the Madison/Ashland winner on Friday, March 1st.  The Sandusky/Norwalk winner will play Marion Harding Friday, March 1st in the first game at Galion.

In Division II, at Bucyrus, 14-6 Lexington picked up the top seed, took the bye to the final and will play the winner of the Shelby/Upper Sandusky contest on March 1st in the evenings second game.  Willard (13-5) was the second seed and will play Galion on Wednesday at 6:15.  In the second game that same evening, Clear Fork will play Tiffin Columbian.  The winners will meet in the final in Friday's first game at Bucyrus.

In Division III, at Lexington, 15-4 Ontario earned the top seed and will play Tuesday, February 26th at 6:15 against Crestview, the winner will advance to Friday's final at Lex against Bucyrus.  New London (15-2) was the second seed, took the bye and faces the winner of the Seneca East/Wynford contest at 8pm in the evenings second game at Lexington in the lower bracket final.

In Division IV, at Ontario, Col.Crawford (15-3) was the number one seed, took the bye to the final and will play the winner of the Mansfield Christian/Lucas contest Friday, March 1st at Ontario in the first final at 6:15.  Buckeye Central (12-7) was seeded second, also took the bye and will play the winner of the St.Peter's/Crestline matchup in that Friday's second sectional final at Ontario at 8pm.

Sectional tournament play begins the week of February 26th, with the winners moving on to district semifinal play the week of March 5th.
