The Ontario Board of Education Tuesday night honored two employees who are retiring.

Linda Ross served as a cook for the past two decades and Sandy Nye is a multi-disabilities teacher who worked in the district for nine years.

Board members also approved the hiring of another fifth grade teacher for the next school year.

The board also moved to add another full-day kindergarten class for the coming school year to hopefully eliminate a waiting list.
