The Ontario boys basketball team improved to 15-4 overall, 10-0 in the North Central Conference with a 75-41 win over Galion this past Saturday, a game that saw the team shoot nearly 90%.  Then on Sunday, the team picked up the top seed at the Lexington Division III sectional tournament with the Warriors opening on Tuesday February 26th against Crestview.  Should they win that game, Ontario would advance to the sectional final that Friday, March 1st against Bucyrus.  Both the Cougars and Redmen are teams Ontario has played and beaten this season.

Before that, the Warriors have three regular season games remaining all in NCC play, at Riverdale Friday, then the final home game of the season against rival Wynford, a team they defeated 81-55 on the road, then the final regular season game on the road at Lucas.  For coach Joe Balogh, who's team is riding a six game winning streak, he wants to see his team finish strong before heading into tournament.  Also within reach is the teams goal of finishing the NCC portion of the schedule undefeated before the Warriors join the Northern Ohio League next season.
