Miami Township Police in Clermont County are investigating the shooting death of a former Ashland County resident.

Paul Leiter, 65, was found dead Tuesday morning.

Authorities said the victim was shot sometime between 8 p.m. Monday and 6 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Leiter's wife, Ann Abele called 911 just after 6 a.m. from their home at 419 Pinebluff Drive. She told dispatchers she found him dead in a chair.

Authorities say evidence at the scene indicates multiple gunshots were fired from outside of the residence.

Leiter and his wife moved to the Cincinnati area about three years ago.
