Valentine's Day in the day for love, and a perfect time for many couples to exchange their vows to making their unions permanent.

Five loving couples joined hands and were married today by Mansfield Municipal Court Judge Frank Ardis.

They are; Ronald Allan Starrett and Shelly Reneee Parsons, Kevin Jay Wetzel and Brenda Lee Stephens, William Joseph Dill and Kimbery Jean Miller, Michael Shane Fields and Christal Ann Miracle, and Andrew Palmer and Nicole Webb.

After all said "I do", the symbols of life-long committment were exchanged and sealed with kisses.

Judge Ardis came up with a charitable way for the couples to pay their wedding fees.

He had them donate bags of food, which will be distributed to the Salvation Army, Catholic Charities, Bellville Neighborhood Outreach Center, and other food pantries.

After the marriage licenses were signed to make the weddings legal, each couple was given flowers and a heart-shaped box of candy, paid for by Judge Ardis, not the court's budget.
