The Spartans turned back the Marion Pleasant Spartans to extend their win streak to nine straight games. The 63-52 win offset nineteen turnovers and St. Peter's solid bench support and timely shooting played a major role. It's a perfect time for the Spartans to be peaking with sectional play just eleven days away. The home team Spartans didn't take the lead until the 5:36 mark of the 2nd quarter when Joseph Rall connected on a three pointer. Bobby Cowen opened the 3rd period with a trey, but their seven point edge disappeared quickly as Pleasant answered with baskets by Devlin McDaniel and Jordan Kelley wedged between a St. Peter's miscue. That lead was short-lived as Colin Wood hits from behind the arc to cut the lead to two. That's where the chemistry and newfound patience of St. Peter's kicked in. Andy Bacon led the Spartans with 18 points, including two treys in the 4th period, the final one coming with 1:41 left putting the home team up 60-49.
