Pieces of presidential history get auctioned off in Massachusetts.

One bidder spend $629,000 on this Air Force One bomber jacket, which was once owned by President John F. Kennedy.

This was one of more than 700 pieces auctioned off, Sunday.

Other lots included documents, photographs, letters, and gifts.

They all come from the estate of David Powers, a longtime friend and assistant of J-F-K.

Powers was also the curator of the John F. Kennedy Library and Museum until his retirement in 1994.

Along with the bomber jacket given to Powers in the early 60s, other memorabilia included a birthday card given to J-F-K by his son, John Junior.
