Two people were taken to MedCentral Mansfield Hospital after a minivan overturned at 8:45 Monday morning.

The accident occurred on U.S. 30 eastbound, just east of the Ohio 13 exit, and involved Patricia Estes, 49 and her passenger, Doug Thatcher, 52, both of Mansfield.

Mansfield Poilice Lt. Mike Higgins said Estes tried to changed lanes, then swerved when she saw another car next to her, hit a median barrier, and overturned onto the passenger's side.

Higgins said both were wearing their seatbelts, and were not ejected.

He said Estes suffered a broken leg, while Thatcher's injuries were minor.

Estes was cited for failing to maintain reasonable control.

Traffic was backed-up for more than an hour to the Ohio 39 exit, and detoured off of the Ohio 13 exit onto Longview Avenue.
